Projects

Community Service:

• Christmas Toy Workshop (Look for the angel trees at various businesses in Fauquier County during November.  We provided Christmas for over 850 Fauquier County kids in over 300 families in 2009.)
• School Supply Drive (This is a newer project that started in July 2007.  We collected school supplies for the county's public elementary schools.  We hope to expand our drive and be able to contribute to all of the county's public high schools in the future.)
• Camp VA Jaycees (This camp is in Beford, VA and is for people wih special needs.  We contribute money to the camp every year.  In addition to a monetary contribution this year, we will be helping with one of the work weekends to repair/maintain the camp.)
• "Tommy D. King" scholarships (We give a $250 scholarship to a graduating senior at each Fauquier County Public High School.  The scholarships are given in the spring and are based on an essay, community service, and grades.)

• Strawberry Festival (We help the 4-H with the Strawberry Festival.)
• Relay for Life (We participate in Fauquier County's Relay for Life to raise money for the American Cancer Society.)
• Contribute to various community things as they come up (such as providing bus transportation for a dance group to go to a competition, dunk tank for boundless playground, providing resources for individual people/families in the community that need help, etc.)

Fundraisers:

• Directing parking at fall and spring Gold Cup
• Haunted Hayride (at Cows 'n Corn in Midland during the month of October)
• Golf Tournament
• Sponsorship Program

Socials:

• Participate in the county's volleyball league (spring)
• Participate in the county's softball league (summer)
• Guest speakers on various topics (writing resumes, finance, starting a business, the basics to maintain your car, etc.)
• We Believers (for those members who wish to participate in a bible study)
• Various other gatherings (dinners, pool party, tubing, bowling, minor league baseball game, etc.)
