About Us
The Warrenton-Fauquier Jaycees were established in 1951. We are a young person's (21 to 40) leadership training organization. Our programs stress the development of the individual member's leadership and managerial skills through the running of projects that benefit our community and the Jaycees movement as a whole.
As a member of our chapter, you will also be a member of the VA Jaycee organization. In addition, you are now one of more than 70,000 members of the U.S. Junior Chamber located throughout the fifty states. Finally, you will also be a member of JCI (Junior Chamber International). JCI encompasses more than 100 countries.
All projects and programs run by a Jaycee chapter fall within one of the five major programming Areas of Opportunity:
- Individual Area of Opportunity: This area provides and opportunity for individual members to realize their personal potential through training programs.
- Community Area of Opportunity: This area develops the sensitivity of individual members to societal problems and community dynamics by providing experience in community problem solving.
- Management Area of Opportunity: This area develops the managerial skill of the individual member at all levels of the organization.
- Business Area of Opportunity: This area provides an opportunity for individual members to contribute to the development and enhancement of the economic infrastructure, prosperity, and well-being for all nations.
- International Area of Opportunity: This area provides an opportunity for individual members to contribute to the development of goodwill, understanding, and cooperation among all peoples.
